Afternoon Tea

There is nothing to compare to the pomp and circumstance of High Tea. All those lovely little sandwiches and sweet treats served on china. Dressing up just enough. Last July a few of our IGA family decided to throw Jessica (then Eid, now Miller) an afternoon tea for her bridal shower. What fun! Since July is hot we had cold sun tea with lemon or lavender ice cubes. We ordered up the cake and cupcakes, which Kailie was given free rein to decorate and of course they were stunning!

Our menu included:
Fruit tarts
Ham salad sandwiches
Egg salad sandwiches
Caprese skewers drizzled with balsamic
And I’ll share the SuPeR yummy ceviche-ish recipe we served with chips~
3 limes
1 avocado, diced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup tomato, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
1lb salad size shrimp
salt/pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients and chill. Ready to serve in about 15 minutes!

High Tea is one of my daughter’s favorite things on earth, since the 18th is her birthday it’s probably time to have another tea party!

Thanks to all my IGA girls that made this such a fun and easy event!
